Many of the SEA alumni, staff and attendees already know some of the great benefits of Social Networking, but there are some great points of value here in the SEA Community you might not already be aware of. The SEA Community is entirely for you! In fact, the SEA Community really IS You. When you take the time to post your business plan, you are getting the best feedback from Alumni and enthusiasts in a supportive environment that helps you learn and make the most of you time. As a past Alum, your feedback is really important to those who are just getting started. So, take some time each day or week and greet a few New Members, ask a question or make a comment about their profile and start a conversation. This helps future graduates feel welcome and your insights, articles and comments remain as valued contributions over time! When you post a comment or article, future graduates will thank you for it. So, remember, SEA Community isn't just for today, it is also for tomorrow! If you have won an SEA award, or have a revision to your business plan, or found a particularly helpful resource, then take a moment to post an article. This, along with the insights of others, grows value for members today and tomorrow. The connections you make during your time at SEA will be with you forever, will prove invaluable at different points in your life. So make a few connections and help others to do the same. Don't see someone you know at SEA already on the site? Look them up in the search feature -- if they are not here already then send an Invite to your professor, colleague or class mate, ask others to post their thoughts and plans for comment, welcome new members and of course, post your own articles for the benefit of all! Don't see a Group covering your area of interest, send a note to sealink@sbcglobal.net and request it get added. Want to head up a group, please send a note to volunteer. Remember, you can upload a PDF attachment to an article, you can post photos from an event, you can use video or audio podcasts as article attachments and that helps reach more people over time. Use your digital camera to help others in the SEA community! SEA Community is your community, as Ghandi once said, "You must be the change you wish to see in the world". The SEA Community is here for us all, when you participate, you help yourself by helping others. |
