Folks, I am looking for a partner in a CoWorking/Cafe venture in San Francisco. I currently have a lease on a space in SF in the Mission district which I would like to convert from its current use to a CoWorking center/Cafe. It is about 1000 sq/ft and has all permits to operate as commercial and is zoned as a small restaurant/cafe. The kitchen has been built out and is ready to serve coffee and light food prep.

What I would like to do is to find a partner to come and participate in either helping to build out a cafe business and/or CoWorking center. I would also entertain offering "free rent" and website design to anyone who is doing independent consulting who needs office space in exchange for helping to keep an eye on operations during the weekday hours. Please contact me if you are interested in discussing possibilities. Contact David @ (415) 620-5810 or send me email dkords at gmail dot com.

Very interesting idea David. I would love to check out the Cafe sometimes :) I am currently working full time as a web developer and designer, but I do freelancing work on the side. Let me know if there's anything I can help you with. Best of luck! ~Calvin

Hi Jesse, not sure how to contact you through this thing, but my info is there. Send me an email directly and I'll give you the best # to reach me at tomorrow. I have been thinking the same thing about the iPhone opportunity, and mobile in general (this is my expertise). Can talk more, but I have a team available in Brazil who is ready to work on mobile projects if there is some consulting money to support projects, which could extend the opportunity to pool resources a bit. Given that I've already got the space, the network, a complete set of computers, and an existing presence here, this would be a great collaboration opportunity for someone to reduce their overhead and long term commitments when ramping up a new project.

I was just thinking about such and idea recently, basically because there are so many iPhone developers doing neat things who need to pull together and pool resources. I'd love to chat with you about this --
