Sales Position with a Software Start-up

Here’s an exclusive opportunity to join a software company based in Roseville, CA that is in the early stages of rapid expansion. We have quadrupled our growth over the past two years and expect a continued 400-500% annual growth rate for the next 2-3 years. We are a bootstrapped operation determined to grow the company with customer revenue. To keep up with our growth, we are launching a new inside sales program and have two (2) openings effective immediately. We are looking for highly motivated sales candidates who have the passion and ambition to build and grow with the company. Position Your primary responsibilities will be to generate new revenue from existing lead sources and to develop new clients within a defined territory. This position will report to the CEO of the company. Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to: •   Qualifying and developing quality leads •   Expanding our customer base through direct sales (tele-sales) •   Presenting and articulating solutions, features, and benefits to prospects •   Supporting field marketing and partner marketing programs and activities •   Maintaining and documenting your customer interaction, activity and forecasting using our web based sales automation tool

Qualifications We are seeking goal-oriented individuals with the desire for a long-term career in sales. The successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic with a professional attitude and personal motivation for success. In addition, we are looking for candidates with: •   Proven sales experience (min of 3 years sales experience; Tele-sales a plus) •   Working knowledge of the IT industry—Software industry experience and understanding of SaaS models a definite plus •   Selling software to small non-tech businesses in retail, construction, service-oriented industries a definite plus •   Exceptional written and verbal communication skills •   Concrete Pumping, Concrete Contracting or other Construction industry experience strongly preferred

Location: (1) East Coast and (1) West Coast, preferably California, but working from home-office

Compensation : Commission-based for the first three months ; Base + Commision structure to be shared with qualified candidates.

Jesse, I believe they are starting off by bringing an insider to manage and operate the effort, but I am not entirely sure.

Have you tried outsourcing this effort already and are bringing the existing effort in-house or are you starting off the effort by finding an insider person to manage and operate the effort? I just wonder, since so many startups face this very issue of carefully growing their sales and lead generation efforts --
