Child Abuse Prevention Council of Placer County, a leading advocate for the region’s abused and neglected children that provides prevention and intervention services to strengthen the health and wellbeing of all families, has an immediate opening for a part-time (32 hours per week) Research and Planning Specialist.

POSITION DUTIES:

Under the direction of the Director of Research and Planning, the Specialist's primary responsibility will be to assist with the development and evaluation of the agencies’ programs. Specific duties will include assisting in identification and recommendation of best practice procedures for the agency’s programs and operations; contributing to the selection, development and revisions of effective prevention programming; supporting coordination of interagency capacity-building coalition project; reviewing and informing program evaluation methods; and assisting in research and dissemination of current information relevant in the field of child abuse prevention.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in social science-related field, Master’s degree preferred. Research background. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form. Education and experience in child development theory and practice, including prevention programming. Background in program evaluation desirable.
