Cool idea, Marlene. Love the kids/dogs angle. I've added you to my considerable list of event calendars. What if you provided subscribers with a customizable email to send their friends on weekend stuff to do? I do this as a way to keep the interest of my network without barraging them with rote jokes and off-color videos. Plus it helps me to see my friends without committing to meet them at a specific time or place. Easy on me! Some weekends I prepare an events calendar for myself, culling some of the best events from various calendars in the Bay Area (Tribe.net, craigslist, fun-cheapsf). I may not stick to the list but it gives me options in the event friends flake or I just get a yen to go. Then I send it to my friends, business associates or family so they may have better weekends and profit from the work I have already done.
