I want to announce that after chairing the Marketing Committee for several years James Goodchap has decided to give someone else a chance to lead this important committee at the Academy. On behalf of the SEA Board and all of the alumni who have had the chance to work with James, thank you for the many hours you have contributed in helping to establish the market presence the Academy enjoys today. Certainly every SEA student in the past several years gives a silent bow of thanks when they think of all the advice and counsel James gave to them as they frantically readied their booth in preparation for Showcase. The best news of all is that James will continue to offer his thoughts and advice on many topics as he remains a member of the SEA Board.

One of the reasons James was comfortable in relinquishing the marketing leadership position was due to the recent addition of Jennifer Gordon to the SEA Board. In a very short period of time Jennifer has impressed James and the management of the Academy with her creativity and marketing/public relations expertise. As a result, we asked Jennifer to become Chairperson of the Marketing Committee, which she accepted. Her creativity and that of the Marketing Committee can be found in the recently developed “leave behind” she and the team developed.

Thank you again James for your tireless contribution to the Academy’s brand and image through your leadership of the Marketing Committee and congratulations and thank you Jennifer for agreeing to lead this effort going forward.

Regards,

Dave Chamberlain
